A way to uninstall Winamp from your system

Note that you might get a notification for admin rights. winamp.exe is the Winamp's primary executable file and it takes close to 2.10 MB (2206888 bytes) on disk.

A way to remove Winamp from your PC using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

Winamp is an application by Nullsoft, Inc. Frequently, users try to remove this program. This is easier said than done because uninstalling this manually takes some experience regarding PCs. The best EASY way to remove Winamp is to use Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Here is how to do this:





1. If you don't have Advanced Uninstaller PRO already installed on your Windows PC, add it. This is good because Advanced Uninstaller PRO is one of the best uninstaller and general utility to clean your Windows system.

  • download the setup by pressing the green DOWNLOAD NOW button
  • set up Advanced Uninstaller PRO
2. Run Advanced Uninstaller PRO. Take some time to admire Advanced Uninstaller PRO's interface and wealth of tools available. Advanced Uninstaller PRO is a very good system utility.

3. Click on the General Tools category

4. Press the Uninstall Programs tool

5. A list of the programs installed on your PC will be shown to you

6. Navigate the list of programs until you find Winamp or simply activate the Search field and type in "Winamp". If it exists on your system the Winamp program will be found very quickly. Notice that after you select Winamp in the list of applications, some data about the application is made available to you:


  • Star rating (in the lower left corner). The star rating tells you the opinion other people have about Winamp, ranging from "Highly recommended" to "Very dangerous".
  • Reviews by other people - Click on the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the program you wish to remove, by pressing the Properties button.

7. Press the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will show up. accept the removal by clicking Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will uninstall Winamp.

8. After removing Winamp, Advanced Uninstaller PRO will ask you to run an additional cleanup. Click Next to go ahead with the cleanup. All the items that belong Winamp which have been left behind will be detected and you will be able to delete them. By removing Winamp with Advanced Uninstaller PRO, you can be sure that no registry entries, files or directories are left behind on your disk.

Your PC will remain clean, speedy and able to take on new tasks.
