A guide to uninstall Blender from your PC

After the uninstall process, the application leaves leftovers on the computer. Some of these are listed below.

Files remaining:

  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Blender Foundation\Blender\2.80\config\userpref.blend
  • C:\Users\%user%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Blender\blender.lnk

Use regedit.exe to manually remove from the Windows Registry the keys below:
  • HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Blender Foundation
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\{0F0E0F5E-1B83-4E2D-9609-91B7F052FEA3}

Open regedit.exe to delete the registry values below from the Windows Registry:
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\State\UserSettings\S-1-5-18\\Device\HarddiskVolume6\New folder (3)\blender.exe
  • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\bam\State\UserSettings\S-1-5-21-2834100049-3206940558-3122428587-1001\\Device\HarddiskVolume6\New folder (3)\blender.exe


How to erase Blender using Advanced Uninstaller PRO

  • Opinions by other users - Press the Read reviews button.
  • Technical information about the application you want to uninstall, by pressing the Properties button.
7. Click the Uninstall button. A confirmation page will come up. accept the removal by pressing Uninstall. Advanced Uninstaller PRO will then uninstall Blender.
